A Mother To Honor - The Original

Bettye Johnson ©

With the approaching Mothers Day celebration, many people have mixed emotions about their mother. Some have a loving relationship while others have a somewhat different one. By the very fact that we are living and were given birth is enough cause to honor our mother. Because of her we are here.

In researching ancient history, there is a Mother that I want to write about. This Mothers’ Day should be a tribute to her. This information comes from ancient Sumerian tablets, which pre-date the Old Testament. There are parallels in the Bible to the Sumerian literature and whether one wants to call it myth or whatever, there is some basis for truth here. There is always truth in all myths.

Most of us are familiar with the Garden of Eden story, however there is a much more interesting history regarding this Eden that tells of the creation of Adam and Eve. Down through the ages the Bible became, as so many ancient stories, distorted.

One of the authorities is Zechariah Sitchen, author of The Twelfth Planet, the first book in his Earth Chronicle series. (For more background on Sitchen, you can visit his website: http://www.sitchin.com/). I was privileged to hear Sitchen speak in the early nineties and from this came a passion to know more and to research – which I have.

Approximately 450,000 years ago this planet was inhabited with ape-like beings. In condensing this information, I will say that other beings from another planet came here looking for gold to seed their atmosphere. Earth was evolving at a slower rate of frequency than the new beings were. They were very evolved in technology and began mining for gold and primarily in Africa. One Earth year was equal to 3600 of theirs. After thousands of their years, these beings called the Annunaki grew tired of laboring and demanded that some other workers be found. Some call these the ‘fallen ones’ or the Nephilim and this is taken out of context, because they did land here in their space ships. This is alluded to in the Book of Ezekiel.

The home planet of the Annunaki was called Nibiru and the ruler of it was named Anu. Anu had sent his 2 sons, half-brothers to Earth. One was called Enlil, lord of the air and the second Enki, lord of the water and earth. There was a third offspring of Anu, a half-sister to Enki and Enlil named Ninhursag. Ninhursag was a scientist – a geneticist. She established a laboratory in Africa, which we call the Garden of Eden.

From her laboratory that became laboratories as others were established all over the Earth, she developed the human brain and the human body as it is today developing the DNA and genes. Some people have been horrified to think of ‘aliens’ making the human body, however the intelligence that inhabited the body was from the Divine source. Ninhursag, together with Enki used the egg from the ‘daughters of man’ with the sperm of the Annunaki and vice versa to create this hybrid.

Ninhursag has become a myth and her many names are Mother of Gods, Fashioner of All, Mother of Children, Creatrix, Lady Birth, Mama, Mammu and Mammy. There is a Temple that was built for her near Tell Hairiri in Syria near the Iraquian border, the land of ancient Sumer.

The myth of Ninhursag evolved into that of Isis. Isis is the Greek name for this Egyptian goddess. The Egyptian name is Jst and pronounced ee-set. Isis has become a feminine archetype for creation and is also known as the goddess of fertility and motherhood, female creator, Mother of the Gods and her Latin name is Stella Maris. Her origin is unknown, however it is quite evident she evolved from Ninhursag.

My understanding is that every so many eons, a new Isis comes forth and around 2000 years ago, one did and her name is Mary Magdalene. When the Knights Templar went to Palestine on their Crusades, it is evident they found something more precious than gold and that was the true history of Mary Magdalene and that is why she was venerated by them. The magnificent gothic cathedrals in France were dedicated to her and the Black Madonna established in these cathedrals and spread to smaller churches. The symbology in Chartres Cathedral and others is their code of what they knew.

Therefore, I honor the original ‘Mammy’, the Mother God of all and her greatnesshas been handed down through the ages by way of Isis and Mary Magdalene andothers. I honor the resurrection of the feminine power. Please join me.

CHAOS

Bettye Johnson©

History indicates that the world has always been in turmoil and this plane is known as the Plane of Opposites. We have up/down, tall/short, good/bad, war/peace, and female/male to name a few. Presently we have Mother Earth in rebellion from the misuse of the Earth such as over-using oil and depleting her resoures, which are her lifeblood. The world consciousness has long promoted war, violence, pestilence and plagues. Yes, there have been golden threads that have lived to remind we humans that we are much more, however those in power always attempt to eradicate them in the name of power and greed. We still have that mentality in control of this planet and Mother Earth is suffering. Fortunately many of the organizations established by these golden threads became invisible and thus the word occult, meaning hidden was born and knowledge has been carried forward.

A statement attributed to Sai Baba: If it were not for the mind change of the devotees of God, the world would be in chaos. This statement is one I take issue with because chaos is necessary for evolution and it indicates his lack of knowledge of quantum physics. I also wonder which or whose god he is talking about. Is it the Hindu god, the Christian god, the Muslim god, or Buddha? We each have a direct connection to the Creator in whatever form we want to place it in. Each human has her or his beginnings in the One Creator.

If one were to study quantum physics, one would know that chaos is necessary to bring forth creation. As an example, a woman giving birth has labor pains because she is bringing forth creation. As a rule, all artists and gifted people create from the chaos in their life. I am reminded of a friend of mine who has said that when things get chaotic it is as if God were stirring up everything with an eggbeater. An example is when the car breaks down, the appliances go out and things seem to be falling apart all at the same time. By having a simple understanding of the quantum world, it is nothing more than the atoms and particles re-arranging to bring forth a greater potential.

If each of us looks back on our own life and our own awakening, we can see that we came through many experiences of adversity. Those adversities were similar to labor pains. We had to experience them in order to awaken to the wisdom waiting for our acceptance. We also have choices. We can either look for the wisdom, or we can choose to stay in misery.

A great book I am reading is Seven Life Lessons of CHAOS: Spiritual Wisdom From the Science of Change, by John Briggs and F. David Peat. I found the following from the book most profound. In each moment we have the opportunity to die psychologically by letting go of prejudices, mechanical habits, isolation, precious ego, images of self and world, and conceptions of the past and the future. In this way we set in motion the possibility of a creative, self-organizing perception that puts us in touch with the magic that gave us birth.

We, as awakening women and men, have the opportunity to assist Mother Earth and others in their awakening. It is only the women and men who have gone through adversities and are ready to step over the threshold of awakening that we can truly help, each in our own way because the door to awakening has to be opened from within each individual.

All over the world there is chaos in the forms of war, pestilence, plagues, the continued suppression of women, and Earth changes bringing upheaval in the lives of many. At times it may seem that we are riding a wild horse. We can either fall prey to this or we can become the eye in the center of the storm.

The world is going through birthing pains of bringing forth an evolved consciousness and so is Mother Earth. . We can choose to revert to fear and experience a ‘miscarriage,’ or we can choose to continue onward regardless of what is happening in the world. Those of us living on this Earth are living on the Plane of Opposites. When the relationship of female/male became unbalanced, the world became one of turmoil. By claiming our personal power, we contribute to the balancing of female/male. The use of the word negative as applied to the female is total ignorance and the fruit of this is suppression and prejudice. On this plane it takes both the negative and the male to bring forth creation. One is not superior to the other.

We have a magnificent opportunity to assist this planet by each of us becoming good stewards and becoming champions of Mother Earth. It is up to each of us who are awakening to teach our children and those with an open mind. It is time to put away those things that no longer serve us such as anger, guilt, greed, jealousy, prejudice, hatred and many other non-serving attitudes.

As long as we live on the Plane of Opposites, there will be chaos. It is to our benefit to embrace it and see the wisdom that is in it. A great example is the hurricane. Within its center is the eye of the storm – a calm or stillness. We are here to create – not make war - not to perpetuate discrimination and prejudice. From the Seven Lessons of Chaos there is another beautiful quote: Every single morning we also have the choice to be open to the creativity of chaos, open to the world around us, open to the possibility that we can make our lives afresh, like the baker’s bread.

BLESS THE SKEPTICS

Bettye Johnson ©

Recently I was sent an article written by a skeptic (the individual’s term) whose writing was vitriolic and filled with innuendos and misinformation about a noted personality. It was what one could term character assassination. The author of this article stated that email would be deleted sent in response to this article that was in disagreement. In discussing this with a friend, we noted the hypocrisy of the author. This led me to think about the meaning of skeptic.

First I researched the work skeptic. Several on-line dictionaries define it as coming from the Latin septicus and its etymology comes from Greek, a disciple of Phyllho of Elis, (Greek Philosopher.) Breaking this down to a simple definition of to examine.

Another definition is one who instinctively or habitually doubts, questions, or disagrees with assertions or generally accepted conclusions and also a doubter who demands physical proof. Whew! The original meaning to examine seems to have gotten left by the wayside as we evolved.

In addressing a skeptic such as I described in the first paragraph, this smacks of people who habitually doubt and this becomes their modus operandi. In other words they become addicted and delight in tearing down. There is nothing productive in their skepticism. I am reminded of the book titled Flatland by Edwin Abbott who wrote this mathematical satire during the Victorian age. Using math, Abbott draws a picture of a two-dimensional universe and how limiting it is. Perhaps one could say an aspect of a habitual skeptic is a Flatlander.

In using the term habitual skeptic, I am addressing those who under the guise of skepticism ridicule and perform character assassination to prove their limited point of view. It is as if they get pleasure from writing vicious untruths and perhaps it is because there is something in the author that is in denial and hidden. Therefore the writer hides behind the word skeptic. This is sad and nothing one can say or do will alter their viewpoint. If we dig into their skepticism, we will find a deep-rooted fear. Unfortunately fear promotes the seeds of bigotry, discrimination and prejudice. Thus an extreme skeptic is in all likelihood a bigot and a fear-monger. It would not matter how many proofs or facts one presented, it would not change their closed minds.

Most of us are skeptic from time to time when something new is presented which is not in keeping with our current knowledge. In addressing another aspect of skeptic, which is doubt. I would say that almost everyone has had doubt about something at some point in his or her life. I have learned that doubt is even more limiting than the habitual skeptic. Doubt is part of fear and it is the killer of dreams. Doubt limits one from accepting new knowledge and new experiences.

The right use of skepticism is another facet. There are times when it is wise to be skeptical and this is in keeping the original meaning of to examine. There are times when we need to pause and examine new information. I learned that when new information or opportunities came and I was skeptical that if I would pause and tell myself it’s possible or use the word perhaps then I left the door open for new information to come in. I would assess the new information and sometimes use my past experience or use my intuition. At the time I began using this method I didn’t realize that I was often using my instinct or my knowingness.

In researching this article on Internet, I came across The Skeptics Society and The Skeptics Magazine. Here at last was the right use of the word skeptic! Here is their introduction:

The Skeptics Society is a scientific and educational organization of scholars, scientists, historians, magicians, professors and teachers, and anyone curious about controversial ideas, extraordinary claims, revolutionary ideas, and the promotion of science. Our mission is to serve as an educational tool for those seeking clarification and viewpoints on those controversial ideas and claims.

In other words, to examine in order to make choices and gain knowledge. Returning to my reference in the first paragraph regarding the extreme habitual skeptic, I say there is no use in attempting to change the viewpoint of one who has a closed mind. In fact, I feel pity for such an individual because this type of skeptic is shutting the door to great knowledge and the ability to live and explore life to its fullest. I am paraphrasing Jesus, who said to bless those who curse you. Therefore, let’s bless these people because they need all the blessings they can get.

I have made a ceaseless effort not to ridicule, not to bewail, not to scorn human actions, but to understand them. - Baruch Spinoza

EASTER - A TIME OF RENEWAL

Bettye Johnson ©

Renewal conjures up images of spring with daffodils and tulips in bloom along with the budding of the trees. After a winter of dreaming, the trees and perennial plants begin to awaken stretching their roots deeper into the soil and pushing upward to the sun. This past week has been delightful to walk around my property and observe the overnight changes. The trilliums in the woods have magically blossomed and I call these the fairy flowers. The hummingbirds returned a few weeks ago just as I putting out their feeder. Good timing! It is a time of celebration. It is as if they are a chorus of voices singing celebrate life.

Easter derives its name from an Anglo-Saxon pagan goddess name of Eostre also known as Eastre. She represents the goddesses of ancient Greece and Egypt and is known as the goddess of the dawn. The pagan celebration of Easter at the vernal equinox, which means day and night appear as equal length was to celebrate the birth of new life and colored eggs were used to signify this. In ancient Roman times the Romans believed all life came from an egg and used the egg in their rites. The colored eggs have always been used to celebrate this rite of celebration. The rabbit became a symbol because the rabbit or the hare represents fertility. Easter was and should be a celebration of life.

The early Christian fathers purloined this celebration and it became a celebration for the death of Jesus on a cross. There is no historical date as to the actual crucifixion (cruci-fiction?) of Jesus. He supposedly rose or as some say ascended on the third day. However, Christian tradition uses the pagan holiday and continues to set the date as the first Sunday after the first full moon following the vernal spring equinox. Isn’t it hypocrisy to condemn pagans and still use their holidays?

It is a travesty that most Christians focus on Jesus dying on the cross for their sins because it absolves them on a subconscious level of taking responsibility. The Catholic practice of confession freed people of their misconduct and yet it didn’t change their behavior or their thinking. Today one only has to observe the continuation of the travesty. Rarely are the true teachings of Jesus taught or followed and we continue to have wars, hatred, prejudice, and bigotry as it has been for thousands of years. Most of the Christian depictions of Jesus have him hanging on the cross. Isn’t it time to take him down from the cross and pursue living what he taught?

The cross was a sacred symbol before the death of Jesus and it meant the something entirely different. As an example, the Celtic cross placed on a circle had an ancient meaning of being a measuring device and also that time is an illusion.

To honor Jesus and to love God doesn’t mean one has to be a Christian. Why not celebrate Easter as a celebration of life? Celebrate the life of all creation. Why focus on death and especially a death that happened over 2000 years ago? Isn’t it time to open the closed doors of the mind and allow laughter, love and joy to enter? The thoughts we have today manifest as our future. Each morning could begin with the renewal of our mind. Sickness and pain can be renewed into wellness and health. Lack can be renewed into I have. Sow seeds of abundance and allow them to bloom. There is a line from a song that says it very well, “If it’s to be, it’s up to me.”

WHAT DOES THE BUTTERFLY KNOW THAT WE DON'T?

Bettye Johnson
©

Most of us know of or have heard the story of the butterfly and its symbolism to life. During a recent contemplation, it became clearer to me the analogy of the butterfly to the journey of the human evolving into a divine being.

The journey of the butterfly begins as an egg or a larva and we find in this the parallelism to the womb of a woman. In the human, a baby emerges from the womb. Unlike the human, the caterpillar hatches itself by eating through its own eggshell called the chrysalis.

The human when it emerges from the womb as a tiny helpless baby has lost its memory for the most part of what it really is and from whence it came. Most babies have chosen parents who also do not remember their heritage. The spirit that will inhabit the baby human form choose the parents because of their gene pool. Babies are more aware than parents think and in the parents’ forgetfulness of who they are begin the child’s programming. This usually ensures that the baby will grow up and live in forgetfulness.

The child through its education and programming eats the leaves of forgetfulness and becomes an adult. I am using the analogy of human leaves to the leaves that the caterpillar thrives on while it is growing. The human leaves are of a different kind. In human terms these are called emotions and beliefs. When the baby is indoctrinated into life it quickly learns by watching others and by also triggering emotional genes to eat the leaves of fear, anger, greed, jealousy, expectation, prejudice, loss of self-worth, lack, impatience and guilt in addition to others and develops a voracious appetite for seeking out circumstances and experiences that will feed them these leaves. These leaves are fertilized by disinformation provided by parents, peers, religion, government, school and the corporate world.

One of the favorite leaves of belief is the belief that Adam was superior to Eve because he came first. The human never stops to reason that Eve came second because she was an improved evolutionary model for the male. Thus the female in most societies is looked upon as being less than and is treated as such. It is ironic because the female was given the womb of creation and the perpetuation of the human race. This is a major leaf of ignorance.

The caterpillar knows when it is time to stop eating. There comes than moment of innate knowingness when this tiny worm stops eating and attaches itself to a small branch and begins to weave its cocoon or chrysalis. It is changing into its divine self – the butterfly.

Unlike the caterpillar, the human continues to eat these leaves of emotions and beliefs. One of these beliefs is that the human has a life span and will die. The side effects of these leaves are illnesses. One only has to look at the number of vehicles in the parking lots of medical buildings and hospitals or read the obituaries. These humans will die in a state of forgetfulness.

For the human who responds to an urge to seek something beyond the mundane, the urge triggers some innate memory that perhaps there is something more to life. There is an awakening and this is the human chrysalis. The human now weaves its cocoon strands from seeking the wisdom from experiences. The more wisdom recognized from past experiences, the more detached the human becomes from the human emotions that bring pain and suffering. The human now begins to drink from the cup of wisdom.

While the human is weaving its chrysalis, there begins an expansion of the mind. The greater Self within is attempting to awaken the human to be aware of its divine self and opportunities are given in the form of experiences and knowledge.

Do you think pain comes when one is changing? Wouldn’t it be logical that a caterpillar as it dissolves and transforms into a butterfly would feel pain? When one begins changing, chaos enters the life. People do not want one to change. Change is fearful to some and others welcome it. The pain is only an illusion for the human and for some it is painful to give up old attitudes, beliefs and prejudices.

There is a story of a man watches a butterfly struggling to get out of its cocoon and thought he was doing it a favor by assisting in breaking the cocoon. The butterfly emerged and attempted to fly but the strength it would have gained by breaking its cocoon by itself had been taken away and the butterfly died.

There is a form of seduction used by well-meaning family and friends and too often humans allow themselves to be seduced. The seduction is the use of the word should. The well-meaning individuals often tell one who is wanting to change that he or she should do this or that or shouldn’t do this or that. Shoulds are the killer of dreams and are disempowering.

Why is the butterfly smarter? It follows its innate knowing from its birth as a worm and knows only to eat certain leaves that are conducive to its life and divine purpose. We can use the butterfly as an example to pursue our own distinctive knowingness and develop our own talents and follow our dreams. No one can live for us and they certainly cannot die for us. It is up to each of us to become our own butterfly, fly and experience the sweet nectar of life. ###

IN SEARCH OF SELF

Do you know the meaning of the words you speak or think? If you do then you are among the exceptional. Most people have no idea what the words they say mean. The original meaning of a common word often becomes changed through translation or by design. Today the words boss and cool have different meanings from the originals and come under the heading of slang. This is a method of changing the meaning of words. History is filled with many changed words.

When Christianity began spreading throughout Europe many pagan words and celebrations were altered to bring the pagans into the fold of the Church. One such celebration is Easter. Originally Easter or Eastre was the name of a pagan goddess of spring and the church officials turned the celebration into a celebration of the resurrection of Jesus. However this is another topic to be explored.

Some years ago I attended a talk given by Ramtha, the hierophant of the Ramtha School of Enlightenment. His teaching was titled Ignorance is the Mother of Devotion. I remember that when I left, the connection between ignorance and devotion had not been clear to me. As with many of Ramtha’s teachings not all the i’s or t’s are dotted or crossed. I came to the realization that he wants us to find the dots and discovered the connections for ourselves.

This pulled at my mind for a few years and I finally began to research the meaning of devotion. It didn’t take much research. All I had to do was go to my trusty New World Dictionary, Second College Edition and look up the word. The archaic or original meanings for devote was entirely different from the common usage today. The meaning I found said: to curse or doom.

That was ominous. This led me to seek further. I knew de is the prefix meaning separation or away from but what was vote? Vote came from the Latin word vatum meaning a wish, a vow or a prayer. I began to see that the original meaning was changed and used to bring the conquered pagans into the fold – so to speak.

I began to note how the change affected our evolution. We (I am using this collectively) now became devoted to our church, our children, our family, or our whatever. The frequency of the original meaning was still contained within the word. We had been programmed to give our attention to something or somebody outside of ourselves. We became ignorant of our true purpose and the knowingness that god is within each person regardless of religion, culture, race or creed. In essence, we were hi-jacked into giving our power away to something outside of us. We became ignorant and therefore ignorance is the mother of devotion.

In realizing this, I began examining my own perceptions of what I was devoted to. I realized that there were some and I quickly began changing my attitudes and reactions when I became aware of the word’s true meaning. My realization is that when I was devoted to something outside myself whether it be children, husband, politics or a cause then I was giving away my power of self. Self is always seeking to be known. I did not give up my children or my husband. I changed my mind.

I also learned that love is not attachment. I gradually began weaning myself away from my attachments to become detached. By being detached, I could love and allow those in my life to develop their own self. My deceased sister was a devoted woman to her family, her church and her clubs she belonged to. She developed carpal tunnel syndrome in both wrists and was told to rest and restrict her activities. I spoke with her and told her it was a marvelous opportunity to get to know herself. She responded that she didn’t like to be alone with herself because she didn't like herself. I didn’t argue with her however I was saddened that she felt she needed outside activities to strengthen her worth. It indicated to me that she really had no self worth and this beautiful woman died of cancer of the liver. Cancer denotes self-hatred.

Too many people give away their attention and their power to what they are devoted to whether it be television, movies, family, religion, hatreds, prejudices, anger, sports or anything where one's attention is always projected outside of self. I have learned that self-contemplation is the seed for creativity and I can love others without being devoted to them.

Our journey in life is one of self or Self seeking self recognition. A journey is filled with many twists and turns with a gift in each one. It is up to the individual to discover the gift. The gift is never recognized when we are devoted to something outside of ourselves.

Welcome to My World

PLAGIARISM - A NAUGHTY WORD?

From my research plagiarism is the stealing of another's idea(s) and perpetuating it as one's own. Take the case of Dan Brown, author of the DaVinci Code and his current lawsuit brought by Michael Baigent and Richard Leigh (co-author Henry Lincoln declined to participate) authors of Holy Blood, Holy Grail. These two authors allege Brown stole the idea they have as a hypothesis in their non-fiction book. In their book and on page 313 of my paprback copy, a hypothesis is put forth that Jesus and Mary Magdalene and Jesus were married and had children. I surmise that this is what the lawsuit is all about. I noticed in re-perusing their book that they use the word supposed a number of times.

A recent UK Guardian Unlimited news article re-printed an article The Observer printed in March 1971 titled Was Jesus Married? Anyone doing research would know that this hypothesis has been around hundreds of years. When I first became interested in Mary Magdalene, I learned much about the Church's attempted suppression of her. Truth has a way of rising above the muck and the mire eventually.

When I first read Holy Blood, Holy Grail, I thought it was based on historical research and fact. Historical fact cannot be labeled plagariasm. Perhaps something wonderful will come from this lawsuit and that is the truth that Mary Magdalene and Jesus were indeed married and not just a hypothesis. When I wrote Secrets of the Magdalene Scrolls, I listed Baigent and Leigh's book in my bibliography and I included in my novel their hypothesis. However, my information and ideas did not from from Baigent, Leigh or Dan Brown. I will come to that later.

To make this entire scenario even more interesting, another author, Lewis Perdue is also bringing a lawsuit against Brown stating Brown plagiarized his book Daughter of God. I recently read Perdue's book and it is a long, long stretch to label Brown's book as plagairizing his. Perdue's book on the surface sounds exciting and thrilling but his writing dilutes the thrill of it all. It is not on my recommended reading list.

Over the past 18 years I have been a student of RSE (Ramtha School of Enlightenment) an academy of the mind. Ramtha teaches us to expand and use the ninety percent of our brain that scientists say we do not use and wonder what it is for. As an aside, the three directors of the film What the Bleep were students and Ramtha commissioned them to make the movie. I was at the event when he did this and heard it.

Over the years I heard Ramtha speak fleetingly of Mary Magdalene and Jesus in respectful ways. I always take notes and when I really became interested in Mary Magdalene, I took seven points I had that Ramtha touched upon and began my research. He has said not to just take his word but to read and research for ourselves. That is why I did. Two of the points were that Mary Magdalene and Jesus were married and they had two children, one a boy and the other a girl.

Sir Laurence Gardener, author of Bloodline of the Holy Grail, has spoken a number of times at RSE with the first soon after he published his first book. It would seem plausible that he would also glean information when he spoke to the school that aided him in writing his subsequent books.

Plagairism is an interesting word and with the eyes of the world on Brown and his lawsuit, it could be a boon for Brown and a bust for the ones bringing the lawsuits. If the judge rules against Brown, it will be a can of worms for authors of fiction. There is a saying, "there is nothing new under the sun Horatio." Nothing is hidden in the Mind of God and each of us have the capacity to tap into it. Perhaps there really no such thing as plagairism except if one deliberately copies word for word another's piece of work.

To make this even more interesting, Random House published both Brown's book and the book of Baigent and Leigh. Oh what a topsy-turvy world we live in!

The Heart of the Matter

The Heart of the Matter
©Bettye Johnson

February is remembered for Valentine’s Day with the heart as its primary symbol. Most people have no idea what the heart really is of what it means. Yes, it is the pump where our life’s blood flows through and many think erroneously that it houses the soul. Actually it is only a pump and the soul resides next to it.

What does it mean when we say I feel it in my heart or from the depths of my heart? An online dictionary gives a number of definitions such as spirit, nerve, spunk, center, gist, affection, bosom, and pump. Along with the definitions are some of the phrases: He had a change of heart. Heart-to-heart. He had a change of heart. You haven’t got the heart to carry on or to do it. The heart and soul of… The child won everyone’s heart. Eat your heart out. She died of a broken heart. It is interesting to ponder the many uses of the word heart.

The first word I noticed on this online dictionary was the word spirit. Going back to the online dictionary I learned that spirit is interpreted as liveliness, life, a fundamental emotional and activating principle; determining one’s character, intent, disembodied spirit and last the vital principle or animating force within living things such as life principle and soul.

There are a number of clues in these interpretations of the words heart and soul and the usage however I am reminded of a story of sages who created man. This possibly originated from the creation of the humanoids by Ninhursag and Enki as given in the Sumerian tablets. The story goes that the sages were discussing among themselves where to hide God so that it would take man (humans) forever to discover God. The first one said, “Let’s hide God in the earth and the others disagreed saying, “No, man will go into the earth and in all likelihood discover God.” The second sage said, “Well, we can hide God in the oceans.” The others disagreed saying, “No, man will conquer the oceans so we can’t hide God there.” A third sage came up with the idea to hide God in the skies and again the sages said no because man would conquer the skies. They sat and pondered this when a fourth sage who had remained quiet during the conversation said, “Let’s hide God within man. Man will never think to look for God within.” The sages agreed and this is why God is within and usually undiscovered by the multitude of humans on this planet.

The golden thread coming from the definitions of heart and spirit is that the two words both mean God. God is everything and God is the vital principle, the life-giving force and the soul.
Therefore the word heart is another word for God.

Whenever I see a heart, I know it means God and that is why Valentine’s Day is so special. It truly is the one day of the year when love is promoted. Children exchange valentine cards at school and I did it when I was a child. Lovers and friends exchange cards and messages. Why is it we set aside one day of the year to promote love? Why can’t every day be a day of love? After all, God is love. Instead of prejudice and judgment, why not substitute a thought of love? Why not fall in love with yourself? It is something to think about.
###
P.S. The Origins of Valentine’s Day…

An ancient origin of the celebration of February 14 came from the Romans who honored the God Lupercus, the watcher over shepherds and their flocks. Every February the Romans celebrated a feast called Lupercalia and during Lupercalia honor was paid to the Goddess Juno Februata. During the celebration girls and boys were matched and would be considered partners for the year.

This celebration was changed by the advent of Christianity and the priests attempted to replace pagan practices, which they thought to be heathen. Instead of the Feast of Lupercalia the church changed it to St. Valentine’s Day. The matching of girls and boys was changed to drawing names and the boy or girl was to emulate a saint for the following year. This evolved over the years into valentines, as we know them today.

There were supposedly seven men named Valentine and honored on February 14. Pope Gelasius in 496 declared the day in honor of St. Valentine who became the patron saint of lovers. If one delves deep enough, February 14th was believed by Europeans to be the date the birds began to mate. Chaucer wrote in his “Parlement of Foules,” “For this was Seynt Valentine’s Day when every foul cometh ther to choose his mate.”

A few comments:
To Global Talk Radio,I just heard Bettye Johnson speaking about her book entitled the MagdaleneScrolls... fascinating! I do not listen to the mainstream radio, they have nothing to say but thesame boring & meaningless stuff all over. With Bettye I was enthralled, andeven sorry that the interview had ended! There is something about the ladythat is so truthful, knowledgeable and sincere, that I am sure going to buyher book! I myself am happy to know what she knows about Mary Magdalene and her truejourney upon this earth, although I have not done such extensive travellingor research as she has. But her words have resonated within me: I learnedthe facts she mentions in her interview by reading the excellent work byLawrence Gardener, namely his book "Bloodline of the Holy Grail", where hetraces back the lineage of Jesus and reveals that they were married and hadtwo children, Sarah & James. L.Gardener was comissioned by some royal housesin Europe to trace their genealogy back to ancient times, and as Gardenerhimself says with a smile, he didn't sit down one afternoon on his sofa andsaid: "I think I am going to write a book about Jesus". It just happened. Ashe got into his research for these families, he started to unravel thebloodline of Jesus & Mary Magdalene, who were indeed royalty. There are people, such as myself, who want to hear about these hidden truths& knowledge, and Bettye sure is a worthy voice in this regard. She is real, that´s what makes her so fascinating. I thank you very much for this superb interview, and now I turn off theradio, and back to work at my computer! All the best. Noelia Castanon

WHAT THE BLANK DO WE KNOW ABOUT THE BIBLE - Part 3

What the Blank do We Know About the Bible? Part 3 © Bettye Johnson
The Greatest Fraud Perpetuated Upon Humanity

The Old Testament (OT) could be called a historical treasure hunt while the New Testament (NT) is supposedly about a great man named Jesus or Yeshua ben Joseph. Even in the NT it takes discernment to understand it and very few scholars have the education or the research background to see the obvious unobvious. I personally believe that Jesus lived and that he came to give us a new way of thinking and living. However any documentation of his actual life is a hodgepodge or mishmash of books in the NT. None of the four gospels, i.e. Matthew, Mark, Luke and John were written during his lifetime. It is even doubtful that the authors of the four gospels were actually named Matthew, Mark, Luke or John. Researchers are realizing this now more than ever.

The travesty that has been perpetuated upon humankind is beyond measure. For the sake of power and misinformation along with mistranslations, the teachings of Jesus have almost been lost. The Christian churches of today teach more about Jesus instead of his message of how to live our lives. The church I grew up in and what I have experienced and observed is that Christianity has become a religion of bigotry, prejudice, hatred, and hypocrisy. This is not what Jesus taught. I find very little tolerance and love coming from a host of those who profess to be Christians.

The basis of the message of Jesus is in the Sermon on the Mount, Matthew (chapter 5.) Jesus also is quoted as saying “greater things than I, you can do also.” (John 5:20. This was altered in some Bibles.) Also in John, Jesus said, “Don’t you know your laws say you are gods?” (John 10:34 and Psalms 82:6). It is interesting how these important words have been changed, ignored and glossed over. It was Paul (if there was ever a Paul) who made Jesus into the only Christ god and Paul never heard Jesus teach or personally knew him.

In Tony Bushby’s book “The Crucifixion of Truth”, he lays out with almost impeccable documentation how these books of the NT have been constructed and also how the church has fraudulently changed them. This documentation comes from suppressed church manuscripts. To quote the back cover of his book, “Using the scroll discovery, papal statements and the evidence of history, Tony Bushby takes his readers into the shady world of ecclesiastical dishonesty where, for centuries, an unprincipled church plotted and schemed its stratagem to perpetrate and maintain a false faith and exploit a gullible public.”

Another interesting book that was published in 2005, is Bart D. Ehrman’s book “Misquoting Jesus: The Story Behind Who Changed the Bible and Why.” Ehrman takes a softer stance and in some instances attributes it to church scribes who either didn’t read well or chose to change it. Ehrman has a background of being a Born Again Christian, a Fundamentalist, an Evangelical Christian and now is a scholar of textual criticism. He attributes much of the mistranslations and misinformation to their humanity. His book is not a refutation of Bushby's. Textual Criticism is described as a field of biblical criticism to establish the original wording or form of the biblical text insofar as this is possible. (My underline.)

Dishonesty is still dishonesty when present day clergy and scholars allow the lies to continue to be perpetuated upon the unsuspecting public. My father had a saying, “If it looks like a duck and quacks like a duck, then it must be a duck. I say fraud is fraud and if one allows the fraud to continue, then he is as guilty as the ones who created the fraud.

What is refreshing are the books being acknowledged today that are bringing forth the fraud of the Bible. Dan Brown’s book “The DaVinci Code” written, as a novel is so powerful that the Church became alarmed after it took the world by storm. Books have even been written about breaking the DaVinci code. Another book that is now before the public is “Pope Joan” by Donna Woolfolk Cross. Recently she appeared on the television Prime Time program about Pope Joan with Diane Sawyer. This is going to be made into a movie along with The DaVinci Code. I say hooray for them.

My own book, “Secrets of the Magdalene Scrolls” is the result of extensive research and most of it is not covered in either of the two books mentioned above. I also brought out information about Pope Joan with documentation. In the Prime Time program the naysayers could not accept that there had been a female pope and called it a myth. What they do not realize is that there is always truth in myths.

There is a possibility that Leonardo DaVinci was a woman and when further evidence is uncovered, you can bet that there will be a huge hullabaloo. But why not? As Sawyer said on the Pope Joan program, women have masqueraded as men for centuries and she showed examples. Leonardo came in at a time when a woman was considered to be little more than a breeding bitch or something for pleasure and also to serve. Two different computer tests have been made on the paintings of DaVinci and the findings indicate that the Mona Lisa is a self-portrait of Leonardo. I have this documented in my book.

Is the NT all bad? Not at all. It is reading it with discernment and separating the wheat from the chaff. Jesus said, “Do unto others as you would have them do unto you.” If everyone lived this, we wouldn’t have so many wars, murders, wife beatings, child abuse and so on. Jesus also said, “Love the lord, your god with all your heart and soul,” and “to love your neighbor as yourself.” If each of us practiced this, we wouldn’t have theft or jealousy or greed.

The Bible, meaning the Old Testament and the New Testament has been used to suppress women and to perpetuate the ills that are rampant in this world. It would behoove us to look beyond and only live what Jesus taught. It is as simple as that. Peter wasn’t the first Pope and there is an outside chance that Jesus didn’t say that Peter was to build a church based upon him. Peter was another word for rock – meaning dense.

There is so much that has been kept from the public such as Thomas Didymus being Jesus’ twin brother. Or that Mary Magdalene was the wife of Jesus and a great teacher in her own right. She bore him two children. So why should one be surprised that there was actually a Pope Joan? All through the ages the Catholic Church has been rife with lies, fraud, pedophiles, transvestites and homosexuals as priests and popes. Transvestites and homosexuals are mentioned here only because of the blatant suppression of the rights of women by men who by their sexual preferences appear to hate women. The Christian churches have also echoed what the Church perpetuated. It’s time to wake up and see the other side. Read the writings of Thomas. The Book of Thomas. Who should know better than the twin brother?

There is also a trend of modern day authors to use the Old Testament as proof of genealogy regarding Jesus and his bloodline. Now really! If you read Parts 1 and 2 of this article you would quickly note that to trace a genetic bloodline using the Bible is ludicrous. In my research I have found almost nothing regarding a the era from 1 Ce until approximately the 5th century that would indicate a thread linking to a genealogy of Jesus and Mary Magdalene. I just wrote 'almost nothing' however I will allow the reader to make her or his own conclusion when I complete the sequel to “Secrets of the Magdalene Scrolls.” Perhaps it will be published by the end of the year – if I can get it completed.

What kind of a world would this be if the majority of humanity woke up and rejected this fraud? Who would lose their power? Who would lose control? Who would gain their freedom? It is something to consider. Isn’t it time we took Jesus down from the cross and took responsibility for our lives and our decisions? Isn’t it time we took the sword he said he had brought – a sword of truth whose meaning is to use it to conquer our own limitations and emotions? It can be a wonderful world.

WHAT THE BLANK DO WE KNOW ABOUT THE BIBLE - Part 2

What the Blank Do We Know About the Bible? Part 2
By Bettye Johnson ©

In Part I we have the Annunaki departing the Earth leaving the planet sectioned off in twelve’s and with each sector having twelve tribes and with each tribe ruled by a king or a pharaoh. Exactly when the Annunaki (the gods) left is up for grabs. When one considers that calendars do change such as the Julian, Gregorian, Ethiopic and Mayan, it is difficult to pin the correct year down.

If one were to reason it, how faithful are the ancient writings as to what actually happened? According to Sitchen’s research of the Sumerian Tablets, the Annunaki first arrived around 450,000 B.C. It took them another 250,000 or so years to finally come up with a primitive worker (slave) to do their work for them according to him. From archeological finds in Africa, the first female skeleton found was in Ethiopia and has been named Lucy, a hominid who lived 3.2 million years ago. Perhaps Lucy and her species were the primitive beings found by the Annunaki when they arrived.

Since the archaeological find of Lucy, other skeletons have been found of advanced beings named homo- sapiens or homo- erectus dated 300,000 to 400,000 years ago. They have been found near Greece, Southern France and Germany as well as other places. Perhaps I am getting too far afield, however my point is that the change from the hominid to homo- sapiens indicates a change in the construction of the skull. The research is there to find if one is interested.

All of this is pertinent to the Old Testament (O.T.) because it is a collection of books written at different periods of history and much of it has been handed down by word of mouth and if you have ever played the whispers game, then you do have a working knowledge of how things do get distorted. Dates get changed, names get changed and it changes according to who is doing the translating.

Some scholars claim that Noah’s Ark and the Flood never happened as reported in the O.T. There is archeological proof that a flood did happen in Mesopotamia in 2900 B.C.E. but it was never as great as to flood the entire Earth. In one sense they are correct. I’ll accept that there was a flood, however if one looks at what is called the ‘myth’ of Noah’s Ark, there is another plausible explanation.

According to the Sumerian texts, one of the first kings was Ziusudra later to be known as Noah. He was a favorite of Enki because Enki was the co-creator with Ninhursag of the primitive worker and now some of them had been educated and were ready to rule over the evolved primitive workers. In the story of Adam and Eve, there were many Adams and Eves because the laboratories of Ninhursag produced artificial insemination to birth the original prototypes until they could procreate together. Who knows, Enki could have fathered the predecessors of Ziusudra/Noah.

In the O.T. the story of Adam and Eve in the Book of Genesis has a serpent tempting Eve to eat an apple or to eat from the Tree of Knowledge. The serpent represents Enki as the one who gave knowledge to the human-hybrids. If he tempted Eve, it would probably mean he was able to teach her and she in turn taught Adam. Enki taught them knowledge. Isn’t it interesting how stories get twisted when it comes to giving women credit for having a brain and being able to use it? Instead she has been given bad press.

Apparently the Annunaki knew a massive change in the Earth’s pole shift would result in instant flooding and Enlil was prepared to let the primitive workers perish. Enki, because he helped Ninhursag create them didn’t want this to happen and even though he took an oath with the Council of 12 not to inform the workers, he managed to get the information to one of his favorites, Ziusudra/Noah. There is a tablet with a drawing of Enki speaking through a screen to Ziusudra/Noah giving him information. The Annunaki were very advanced beings technologically. They had underwater vessels, which today we call submarines and apparently used them extensively in exploring this planet.

Ziusudra/Noah was told to build an underwater vessel and take on board the DNA/gene seeds of all the animals, etc which he did. When the vessel reached land, it was on top of Mt. Ararat as the story goes. With the DNA, in laboratories the animals, fowls, and other creatures could be re-created. It is reported in the Sumerian texts that the Annunaki also brought grape vines and other plants to establish on this planet. Therefore there could be some truth that Noah did get drunk on the wine he made.

However, in attempting to re-construct these events time wise, there is a very important event that hasn’t been taken into consideration because in many circles it is considered a myth and that is the sinking of the continent Atlantis. Could it be that the great flood was actually the demise of Atlantis? It is said that Lemuria perished centuries before Atlantis became submerged. Events not understood have a way of being relegated to myths. One such is the Pantheon of the Annunaki gods became known as the pantheon of the Greek gods and then the pantheon of the Roman gods and so on. As humankind evolved, names changed and dates possibly changed.

Getting back to the O.T., some researchers say that the Book of Psalms originated from the Egyptians. I mention this because in Psalms 82:6 it states: know ye that ye are gods? The same verse is re-stated by Jesus in John 10:35. Isaiah 41:23 also refers to this. Truth has a way of weaving itself through distortion and disinformation. If the Annunaki are gods, then by having their DNA and genes in the homo- erectus (us), then it means that we are also gods. An interesting thought to contemplate. What intelligence is operating our bodies?

Meanwhile back to Ziusudra/Noah, the O.T. states that Noah had three sons: Shem, Ham and Japheth. They must have brought their wives with them on the submarine because Shem had 5 sons and it is recorded that this family went on their way and settled Persia/Iran, Assyria and Syria and possibly onward Eastward.

Ham, whose name in Hebrew means burnt, black had 4 sons and this family migrated to Africa, which included Cush/Ethiopia, Egypt, Libya and Palestine. This is all most interesting and I will return to this later.

The third son was Japheth and he had 7 sons and according to the historian Flavius Josephus (circa 93 A.CD.), this branch of the family migrated to France, Spain, Wales, Germany and other parts of Europe. They spread out and they multiplied. However if Noah and his family brought others with them and it is very likely they did, then we can see how fast the population swelled. There are myths of a great flood in other parts of the world and one being the Eskimos. One would think it possible that there were other survivors in other parts of the world. Perhaps one day information and verification will arise that this is true. It is something to think about.

Apparently it was after the return of Noah that the gods/Annunaki also returned. It was easy for them to vacate the planet because they had spaceships and a home planet to go to. In the Sumerian texts it tells of a disagreement among the descendents of Enki and Enlil and yes they did fight among themselves. They had the technology of nuclear weapons and it was Ninurta who pushed the button resulting in a nuclear blast and thus the story of Sodom and Gomorrah. Archaeologists have found evidence of five cities being destroyed within sight of the Dead Sea. The cities had become white ash. There is also a ziggurat on a platform that is nothing but white ash. Balls of calcified brimstone have also been found. Lot’s wife did not heed the warning to not look back and she became a pillar of salt. In other words, she became white ash. Perhaps this is why the Dead Sea cannot sustain life.

Ham’s name is translated as burnt and black, which is an indication of the color of his skin. Therefore it would be plausible that Noah and all his family were black. The Sumerian texts refer to the Primitive Workers as black hair. In the O.T., using Strong’s Bible Concordance, the words Ethiopia and Ethiopian are mentioned 39 times. Ethiopians have always been known to have black skin. In the Book of Numbers 12:1, it refers to Moses wife as Ethiopian. In all likelihood, Moses was Egyptian and during those days, their skin was very dark ranging from cinnamon color to black.

Another clue as to the skin color is the word leprous. “…behold his skin is white as snow,” (Exodus 4:6) and “Miriam became leprous, white as snow,” (Numbers 12:10). Light skin people turn dark where the skin is leprous and in dark skin people the skin turns white as snow. Therefore it stands to reason that in the O.T. the major characters were of dark skin or black skin and not white as many paintings portray them. If one looks at the statues of Egyptian pharaohs they are usually of a dark hue. This would include the Israelites. Over the past two thousand years there has been intermarriage and the skin hues have gotten lighter except in places of Ethiopia.

The O.T. is in actuality filled with clues. There also appears to be two gods with the most predominant one being Jehovah. Who is Jehovah? He certainly isn’t the God. In the O.T. there is a god that is mean and evil who causes plagues, death and destruction. There is also a god that is loving and in the Book of Micah 6:8, He has shown you, O man, what is good, And what the Lord requires of you: Only to do justice And to love goodness, And to walk humbly with your God. This is important because it is implying to walk humbly with your God, meaning that God is within each individual. Perhaps this was Enki giving instructions.

Many researchers of the O.T. and the Sumerian texts have concluded Jehovah was the Annunaki god Enlil and on the surface it would appear to be so. He had a dislike for his half-brother Enki and his sister Ninhursag because they brought forth the human form, as we know it today. He wanted to be the supreme ruler. He also had the technology for inventing a device to communicate with the humans on Earth and this device could be what is called the Ark of the Covenant. As Jehovah he usually arrived in a pillar of cloud, which indicates a spaceship. The Book of Ezekiel has many references to spaceships. Yes, the extraterrestrials apparently seeded this planet.

It would appear that when the Council of Twelve along with the Annunaki departed this planet that they felt the kings they had trained and put in place could govern well with one exception and that would be Jehovah/Enlil. However, there apparently came a time when he also departed and it would be when the O.T. was accumulated and put together. There is much speculation among researchers and no one has all the answers. It is really up to us individually to sort this out according to our understanding and beliefs.

The Sumerian texts tell of Enlil’s granddaughter Inanna being given dominion over the area known as India. Inanna is also known as Ishtar. Archaeologists in 1922 discovered the ancient city of Harappa and other cities in and near the Indus Valley. The people of that era had huge planned cities with straight streets; brick homes with private baths and each house had its own bathroom and private well. The sewers ran under the streets. These sites are dated approximately 5,000 years ago. Perhaps this was one of the 12 sectors because Inanna was a member of the Council.

China could also be another one of the 12 sectors. There have been skeletons found that are dated 3 million years ago. The first written documents began around 3600 years ago.

There is so much history yet to be revealed regarding South America, the North American continent as well as Asia. Our history is not just the O.T. There were great civilizations on the continents of Atlantis and Lemuria and most of it is under the Pacific and Atlantic Oceans. Archaeologists are determining that there is evidence of skeletons dating as far back as 50,000 years or beyond in North America. When we open our minds to new information, we get an entirely different perspective…to be continued. Part 3 – The New Testament.

WHAT THE BLANK DO WE KNOW ABOUT THE BIBLE - Part I

By Bettye Johnson © 2005

What the blank do we know about the Bible? If you have been like me, not very much. I have been on an odyssey for many years learning what the Bible is all about and I used this research when I wrote “Secrets of the Magdalene Scrolls.” Since its publication I have continued to research and over the years have learned that the Bible is all about distorted history, false claims, codes and much more. The following are my perceptions and they make sense to me based on the information I have found.

The DaVinci Code has triggered an interest in wanting to know what these characters of history are all about and this includes, Mary Magdalene, Jesus, the Catholic Church, and religion along with Leonardo DaVinci. Who is right? Who is wrong? Well, it depends on what one wants to believe.

In doing research, I learned that most of the documents are filled with truths and half-truths as well as lies. I have kept in mind that in ancient times there were no computers and no spell check. Anyone who has written a book knows how valuable editors are and even then a glitch manages to get by. In ancient times not all the scribes were well educated. Research is very much like unraveling a puzzle or one could say it is following Ariadne’s Web.

During my odyssey I have learned that the Bible is in actuality a book about control – meaning the control of the human mind. It is said that elephants not living in the wild have been tamed by hobbling them to a stake. The elephants are strong enough to pull up the stake, but do not and allow themselves to be chained. Why? It is because of their programming/training. Humans are much like elephants. They allow themselves to be hobbled to belief systems given to them by someone outside of themselves. They have hobbled minds. The Bible is one such tool and the hobbling has been reinforced for eons by religion with its origins thousands of years ago.

In the Book of Genesis there is a verse about the creation of the human. It states: “Let us make man in our image…” (Genesis 1:26). This one verse should cause bells to ring in our brain. However most theologians and so-called experts ignore it, claim it is a mistranslation or scratch their heads while thinking what the blank is this all about?

In Genesis the words Anunnaki, Elohim and Nephilim are mentioned. The word Elohim is from the Hebrew and most theologians and religions allege it means the Jewish and Christian God. However, this is a misinterpretation because Elohim is derived from the word eloah, which is feminine. . It comes from eloah goddess plus im, which makes it a plural ending. To remove the ah and adding im, this becomes plural and through the ages the patriarchs of the Jewish religion and Christian religions have assumed it means a male God. From the website of Hebrew4Christians, it gives Eloah as the singular form of Elohim meaning God. In the Hebrew Tanakh (The Jewish Bible) the work Eloah is mentioned 70 times. This will be addressed as you read on.

The Anunnaki represents a group of Sumerian mythological and Akkadian deities. But were they myths? And why are they mentioned in the Old Testament? Great scholars have translated ancient Sumerian texts that tell the story of the Anunnaki coming to planet Earth from another planet that some call Nibiru. The head of these Anunnaki was Anu who was the chairman of a high council of 12 gods with the Earth being divided into 12 sectors with one sector to each of these 12 gods – or so the story goes. There is nothing set in concrete, therefore one must tread carefully through the mind-field of research. Zechariah Sitchen has done an admirable job with his books, The Earth Chronicles of which are his interpretations of the translations of the Sumerian texts. His research indicates Nibiru was the 12th planet in our planetary system. From this planet came a council of 12 with each member given a piece of the Earth. This is most interesting and intriguing and I will return to this later.

One might ask why did they come to this planet and what was their intent. According to Sitchen, scouts were sent out to find a planet containing gold. Nibiru has an extremely long orbit and the further away from the sun life diminishes. Therefore gold is needed to seed their atmosphere and bring light to the planet. All of this supposedly happened approximately 450,000 years ago with the advance party finding gold. The Anunnaki began to mine it and transport it back to Nibiru. Their first landing is reportedly in the Mesopotamia area that became the base of their operations.

After some thousands of years, the Anunnaki workers became tired of mining for gold and ask that other workers be secured to take their place. In those days, an Anunnaki year was equal to a few thousand of ours.

In Genesis 6:1-18 there is reference to the Nephilim and this word has been translated to mean giants or mighty men. The verses go on to tell of the Sons of God and the Daughters of men who mated and bore children. Now what the blank does this mean? Already living on Earth was a strain of entities similar to apes that were evolving at their own pace.

According to most of the Sumerian scholars, Anu had two sons named Enlil and Enki by different mothers and a daughter named Ninhursag. There are many variations of their relationships, however the overall thread I have found is that Ninhursag was a great scientist – a geneticist and Enki was also a scientist. As the story goes, Ninhursag, the geneticist began experimenting with the local entities to create slave labor. Perhaps this is where the centaurs came from or the Pegasus. None of this happened overnight. There were many experiments but none could reproduce. One could call this first being Adam, however it could not reproduce. The great Mother Goddess (Eloah) Ninhursag chose to fertilize the eggs of the female entities with the sperm of the Anunnaki. The female Anunnaki became surrogate mothers and carried these fetuses to birth. Thus came Adam and Eve plus a host of others with each female reproducing. The Eve was an evolution of the Adam.

There really couldn’t be only one Adam and Eve because who would Cain marry? Where did his ‘wife’ come from? Over a period of time, the new humans being born were refined; however there is another part of the story in the Bible and this is the tales that Eve ate an apple and insisted Adam eat of it also. Eve became the bad girl and much blame has been placed on her. What happened, according to my research and choosing that which makes the most sense – is that the serpent represents knowledge. In the Sumerian tablets, Enki is represented as a serpent and the god of wisdom. He gave them knowledge. Enki is said to have given his sperm to create the hybrid worker.

It is most likely Ninhursag, who in all probability is the Eloah, had a laboratory for genetic engineering in each of the 12 sectors given to the Council of 12 members. It is said that those humans who did not meet the standards she was after for slave labor were turned out of the Garden of Eden. The Garden of Edens being the laboratories for genetic engineering. Yes, they were kicked out rather than being exterminated. Now what did they do? They learned to become self sufficient and multiplied. Those who migrated to the hot regions developed a pigment in their skin that made their skin very dark. Others migrated to areas where it was cooler and their skin became lighter.

The greatness of Ninhursag is that she along with the team of scientists helping her developed a magnificent computer brain for the new humans. The only drawback is that it was a divided brain with the potential of becoming unified and filled with unlimited neuro networks. A brilliant woman! To add to this, the human was given a great DNA and now scientists are realizing that there is much more to the so-called junk DNA. From my perspective it means we have the genes of not only the gods AKA Anunnaki, but also the primitive female of 100,000 years ago. Sitchen has given a timeline in his book The Twelfth Planet: Year 445,000 the Nephilim arrived on Earth led by Enki; Earth undergoes interglacial period; 300,000 the Anunnaki mutiny and Ninhursag with Enki began creating an entity to be a worker. It wasn’t until approximately 100,000 that the worker was created to where they could propagate. A recent Pravda article dated 10/11/05 states that researchers claim that centaurs were for real which lends credence to the possibility these creatures were part of Ninhursag's experiments.

If one is interested enough, there are many sources with information to really find out what the Old Testament is all about. A familiar name such as Noah must have been a hybrid offspring of the Anunnaki or Nephilim and the daughters of the primitive beings. It is perfectly plausible that the famous Ark Noah built was a type of submarine and instead of actual two by two animals and birds, Noah took with him a genetic bank including DNA so these animals and birds could be recreated again once the deluge subsided. How could anyone take a pair of horses, cows, elephants, etc.?

Over many thousand years, each sector developed under the rule of one of the Council of 12 and flourished. Archaeology is discovering more and more artifacts each year. There are the great pyramids with the most famous ones being those located in Egypt. Pyramids have been located in Mexico, Yucatan, Bosnia, China and there are the mysterious mounds in the U.S. Could it be that Stonehenge and other formations along with the flattop pyramids were landing pads for the space ships of the Anunnaki? The Old Testament has within it many references to space ships with the Book of Ezekiel being the most noted.

Zechariah Sitchen published The 12th Planet in 1976 and this was the beginning of awareness being brought forth to the public. Since then, there have been many scholars and many translations that have enhanced this research. Sitchen’s works are well worth reading for those who seek to know more. Another interesting book published in the 70’s is Ruth Montgomery’s The World Before. Since then information has burgeoned. For a glossary of the Sumerian gods, I suggest you read The Lost Book of Enki by Sitchen.

Returning to the use of number 12, I have had a desire to understand the meaning of the number 12 for many years. We have the 12 tribes of Israel, 12 Apostles, 12 Days of Christmas, 12 signs in the Zodiac, 12 months in a year, 12 members of a jury, and now the 12th planet along with the 12 sectors or 12 regions and a council of 12. I finally found an understanding in John Michell’s book New Light on the Ancient Mystery of Glastonbury. In his book, Michell writes of Plato’s own account of how the culture of early civilization began when the gods reigned on earth. When they departed, “they initiated certain people into the secrets of their law.”

Michell writes, “These civilizations were built upon an esoteric code of law. Essentially it was a code of number, representing the mathematics of creation, and from it were derived all the art forms and institutions of the nation, its music, the proportions of the temples and even its constitution.” This indicates a great foundation. Michell goes on to write that the gods who first ruled were 12 in number. Here are the 12 again.

We have 12 gods with each governing the 12 regions of the earth. We must remember that this happened over thousands of years. As Plato had written in his Laws, there came a time when the gods knew they had to depart and with the selected and trained people in the secrets of their laws, the Earth was placed in the care of kingships. In each region 12 tribes were created. From the 12 regions each with its 12 tribes we have a total of 144 tribes. Each tribe having a king and each region or sector corresponded to zodiacal signs and the months of the year. At last I had an answer that resonated within me.

As long as the standards set forth were upheld, the societies flourished and when the societies began ignoring the standards, decadence set in. It would appear we have gone downhill instead of evolving. However we have had our peaks and now with what is going on in the world we appear to be in a deep valley.

From the translations of the Sumerian tablets, not all of these gods were benevolent. There became a time when some were fighting among themselves for control over the Earth and there was jealousy and hate. One only has to read the Old Testament to realize how mean and vile the god Jehovah was. But who was Jehovah? He must have been a descendent of the original members of the Council of 12. There are records from the Sumerian tablets that among the Nephilim there was a great war, which today we would describe nuclear. This is also given in ancient Vedic texts. Could it be why we have the Dead Sea where there is no life in it? The Great Salt Lake in Utah also has so much salt that fish cannot survive in it.

According to Sitchen it was around 13,000 years ago when the Nephilim departed and the humans survived the great deluge. Thus the Old Testament creates a storyline of the 12 Tribes of Israel. Apparently these 12 tribes were created over many thousand of years and for anyone to claim a lineage from the names in the Old Testament is ludicrous. In fact, it is plain silly and indicates a lack of understanding in the research done.
…To be continued.

TO FORGIVE OR NOT TO FORGIVE - THAT IS THE QUESTION

Recently I was sent an email filled with statements of hate and anger because Jane Fonda is going to be honored for some good works she has done. It has been over 40 years since Fonda did her infamous broadcasting to U.S. troops in Vietnam from the enemy’s side. Forty years is a long, long time to hold onto hatred and anger, however many people do. I did.

I remember my own anger at the time Fonda went to Hanoi and consorted with the Vietcong. At that time I was married to a career Marine and we had three sons. My husband spent two tours in Vietnam with the Marine Air Wing. Each time I would make the trek back to my hometown in West Texas with our sons so they could have an association with family. On our second trip there was a sponsored rally at the local football stadium to promote support for our troops and patriotism. From a city of nearly a 70,000 population, there was less than one hundred attending. I was shocked and hurt. In fact, from my viewpoint it was pitiful.

After my anger subsided, I began questioning why had patriotism gone by the wayside in our country. The country seemed split with young men moving to other countries to avoid the draft. We had anti-war demonstrations all over the country and some with violence on the part of the police. It was a time of hippies; make peace – not war and young men dying in Vietnam. We also had John F. Kennedy, Robert Kennedy and Martin Luther King. All assassinated and for what? This was a period when I had all of my beliefs shaken to the core.

Vietnam. The word conjures up different images and memories for people. I had grown up with an image of WWII being an honorable war with the country united in patriotism. With Vietnam it was different. I remember my husband writing to me from Vietnam and saying that he and others had been issued weapons and were told they could not shoot first. They could only return fire if fired upon first. That was a shocker to me. It was like no other war fought before in history that I could ascertain.

My background knowledge of Vietnam began when I was working in the embassy in Paris. I worked in the code room encoding and decoding messages. During my tenure, the French who had colonized Indochina – now called Vietnam – were fighting a bloody battle to retain their supremacy. Others and I in the code room began working double-shifts resulting in 16-hour workdays. Sometimes the messages coming in from Indochina were garbled and we would get the International New York Herald Tribune and see if we could make any sense from the place names such as Dien Bien Phu so we could resolve the garble.

As I recall, the U.S. was being asked to come to the aid of the French, however John Foster Dulles, the Secretary of State refused. Finally the French pulled out and the country was now in the hands of the Vietcong who were painted as despicable communists. The word communist was used as an excuse to strike terror in the hearts of American citizens. I was in Paris at the time Senator Joe McCarthy conducted his famous witch-hunts. His witch-hunts led to the trials and sentencing to death of the Rosenbergs. I observed the European anti-American protests gatherings. I was working in the Embassy one evening when the Place de la Concord was filled with anti-American protestors. I remember going to the roof of the Embassy and watching. It was frightening. The Rosenbergs years later were found to be innocent of the charges after their execution.

What does this have to do with Fonda and Vietnam? It really has to do with forgiveness and my forgiveness. Before the U.S. presence in Vietnam escalated, I was now married to my Marine husband and we were stationed in Hawaii. The wives had a grapevine and we knew that every six months a squadron would leave on a secret mission to Vietnam. We were supposed to think at that time we only had military observers there. After JFK’s assassination Johnson openly escalated the presence of the military there and it was indeed a war.

Referring back to the beginning of my questioning of why there was a lack of patriotism in the U.S. for this war, I received it some years later. I have learned that our presence in Vietnam was not at all altruistic. I also learned why the French so desperately attempted to hold on to their control. Indochina, now called Vietnam, was a corridor for drug trafficking. It was the corridor to the Golden Triangle long known for their opium trade. The Golden Triangle encompasses the hills of northern Burma, northern, Laos and northern Thailand. The young people in the sixties knew it was an immoral war and why. It was also a time when the use of drugs almost became a national epidemic.

Jane Fonda is older and wiser now. She has publicly apologized for her actions in Vietnam and has since done many great works. She is also a Christian now. Shouldn’t she be forgiven? In the Bible there are at least three verses in the book of Luke where Jesus speaks on forgiveness and at least two verses on forgiveness in the book of Matthew. If Christ can forgive and if there is forgiveness in God, why can’t we humans forgive? To hold on to anger and hatred of someone’s past actions is like dragging dead mules across the field of the mind.

Today we are in the midst of another war and it is fought differently from past wars. Instead of it being a war for control of drugs, this one is for control of oil. Perhaps it also has something to do with drugs. Afghanistan, Iran and Iraq raise poppies for opium and its derivatives. I am now past anger. I find that by standing back and observing, my life is richer. I have experienced deep anger held in my mind and my body for fifty years. The anger when it was released was so volatile that my body rocked with it for three days. That is when I said enough is enough. Forgiveness is so sweet.

Today the word communist has been supplanted by the word terrorist to strike fear in the American people and to justify the U.S. presence in Iraq. Today there is a movement of awakening once again in this country and also in the world. We must each empower our own self and we do this by seeking knowledge. Once we have knowledge we have choices. We must become our own authority. An authority is one who is in power now. We have given our power away to the news media, the government, the pharmaceutical companies, religions and corporate America. Didn’t Goliath slay the Giant? I would say that this is an allegory. Could it be that the first stone Goliath sent to the Giant was a stone of forgiveness? It is something to think about.

I can say from experience that to hold on to anger, resentment and judgment for forty years or longer is only hurting the holder. So I say, let’s forgive Jane Fonda and others and move into a more exciting aspect of our life – our mind. Forgiveness does not mean inaction. Forgiveness opens the doors to wise choices and decisions to where we do take action. The memory may be there, but the pain and its residue to no more.

What Is Glamour?

WHAT IS GLAMOUR?
By Bettye Johnson ©

Glamour. The word is intriguing and brings to mind images of something exotic, alluring and deliciously fashionable. In today's usage it pertains to someone who is alluring or beautiful. There is even a magazine with the name Glamor. Today's marketing directed to women and young girls is all about becoming glamorous and alluring to attract the opposite sex. Another word that would apply is bewitching. However, the origin of the word glamour or glamor has a deeper meaning.
In Scotland the word glamour is the Scots form of the word grammar. One might ask how could this be? In other words, what does glamour have to do with grammar? It is a little bit like unraveling a ball of yarn.
In medieval times, grammar was used as a synonym for Latin. Hence, it meant the study of Latin. This evolved into our present day grammar school and also referring to the proper usage of language. This evolution is interesting because it evolved from glamour to mean, all learning as recorded in Latin and the occult sciences as associated with this learning. Therefore, the meaning became associated with learning Latin. From that it has shifted into present day usage.
In medieval times Latin was learned by only a few because the Church rituals were spoken in Latin and this meant the lay people could not understand what was said. This enabled the Church to retain power over the people. Therefore it was assumed that if one could not read Latin, then one did not have access to the same power the priests supposedly had. Thus, the old Middle English word gramarye had two meanings: the rules of sentence formation and occult knowledge of magic or necromancy.”
Originally the Scottish meaning of glamour was a special type of spell that causes its victims to misperceive reality and it can also be said to be magic, a spell or a charm. Cassandra Eason in her book Faeries and Magical Beings writes that glamour is the power of enchantment. It is the power of illusion and also to shape shift. I've heard women say, I've got to put my face on, meaning to put on make-up. My dictionary also includes in the definitions, putting on a false face. Isn't that the same as creating an illusion? Shakespeare wrote, all the world is a stage and we are the players on it. We are each an illusionist in that we put one face on for the outer world and another for our inner world.
From my research, glamour is more than magic or illusion or grammar. In reading The Life and Teachings of the Masters of the Far East, I would say that the Masters use glamour. Bi-location, the art of becoming invisible and teleporting are forms of glamour. It is all very intriguing and it raises the question, do we really know the meanings of our words that we speak?
